We have been reading to Little S since he was just a few months.
Our daily routine includes choosing a book from his Little Bookshelf which we created by using a Book stand and also for him to reach easily.
Every night after his shower and after he has changed into his pajamas he would choose a book and insists on sitting on my lap to read.
One of his favorite books - "Thomas " The book has a ' lift the flap ' and it reveals the animals that Thomas the Engine has to transport to the harbour.
Depending on his mood he might go and choose another book or want to read again but usually the Thomas book is always a must.
Sitting on Grandma's lap and reading. Just like how I would read to him with my index finger pointing to the words in the book from left to right. S would do the same but he would use his index finger and point to the same word on the line instead of moving his finger from left to right.
Here is the link to an article I wrote about the Benefits of Reading Aloud!
This book is "Miss Honey's School Bus "
S reading in his own way and somehow finds it quite funny and laughs .
